Kanayo O. Kanayo is a Nigerian actor and lawyer. In 1992, Kanayo made his debut movie appearance in the film Living in Bondage. Kanayo has starred in over 100 films.

In September 2020, Nollywood veteran actor, Kanayo O Kanayo shared on social media that he is now a lawyer.

He officially became a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria called to the Nigerian Bar on 15 September 2020.

The 58-year-old actor said he always wanted to go back to school to get a law degree and he has done it. Kanayo donned a courtroom wig and robe in a photo on Instagram.

2. Funke Akindele-Bello

Funke Akindele-Bello went to Lagos State University where she studied law, but before she could complete her education and become a law graduate, the award winning actress had already become a household name in the Yoruba Nollywood industry.

3. Omawumi

Popular Nigerian singer, Omawumi is a law graduate of Ambrose Ali University in Ekpoma, Edo State.

Following her graduation, Omawunmi worked temporarily at her brother’s firm, OS Megbele and Associates, before moving on to compete in the West African Idol, where she had her big break and focused on her music career full-time.

4. Femi Adebayo

Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo, is a graduate of law from UNIILORIN, Kwara State. Femi practiced law for a few years and he specialized in real estate law, before he landed his big break in the Yoruba Nollywood industry.

5. Richard Mofe-Damijo

Richard Mofe-Damijo who is popularly known as RMD, is a veteran actor and lawyer.

In 1997, the actor graduated from law school in the University of Lagos. He did this in order to fulfill his mother’s wish of him becoming a lawyer, of which he wasn’t interested in.

Falz is a Nigerian rapper, Lawyer and the son of Femi Falana, a well-known and prominent SAN in Nigeria.
